On a fateful day in 2013, students and staff at Bay Point Preparatory High are going about their normal days, when they are suddenly transported to an alien and hostile environment with violent monsters trying to eat them all, and strange glowing rocks. Several exceptional teens try to take some modicum of control and seek solutions. Several decide the answers they need lie in the woods, and they soon discover they are not the only humans who have been plucked from Earth! Some of them are abducted by warriors who look seem like Vikings, while others discover a Ziggurat full of writing from ancient civilizations, as well as more questions about why they were brought to . The Viking warriors, take the teens back to a civilization named New London, and they know English, but they are also keenly interested in what the rest of Bay Point might have to offer for their own continued survival.

Hold on to your seat, because there is a LOT going on in this story. There are at least six main characters to keep track of (but thanks to Dialynas, they're all uniquely illustrated, so no chance you'll mix them up). There are also some jumps back and forth between the different character groups as they try to survive on different parts of this alien place, so there is a lot for readers to keep track of and get excited about. There are a lot of mysteries to unravel with the ancient human civilizations as well as the glowing rocks and lots of alien creatures roaming around. Dialynas' creativity is on full display with some fantastical world-building, frightening creatures, and beautiful scenery bringing the adventure and sprinklings of horror to life.

There is a lot of violence and death on the page, as well as some uncensored cussing.

These books are available in a 3-in-1 "Yearbook Edition", which might be more available for libraries to collect this older series.
