Navier does an interview with a local journalist, and she includes a tidbit about overhearing part of Soveishu’s plan to divorce her. Upon reading the ensuing article, Soveishu realizes his mistake and sends a letter to Navier explaining his entire plan, but Navier is unimpressed and declines to come back or participate any further in his schemes. Soveishu decides to have his wedding to Rashta before Navier's in the Western Kingdom to force Heinrey and Navier to attend, but all Navier sees are Rashta’s missteps in maintaining the empire despite all of the advice she had left and instructions on how to continue to keep things running smoothly. ![]()
Tia continues to pursue her knightly work and finds herself very busy preparing for the Foundation Festival. Several princesses from other kingdoms arrive, all hoping to be selected as the Court Princess, and Tia hopes that one of them count replace her as Ruve’s betrothed. The different court factions, particularly the Nobleist faction, see this as an opportunity to support a princess who will be successful and depose Tia, whose family is of the Imperialist faction. The festival has several nights of fancy partying and dancing, but they aren’t without clandestine meetings, secret rendezvous, scheming, and political maneuvering.

With the facility compromised by Suchan’s reconnaissance team, Pet Shop sends in someone to take out the Nest forces and remove all the evidence. The team gets split up - one half fights to rescue survivors and save them from feed training while Suchan takes on a deadly Antlion infused soldier who takes Suchan to the limits of his complexes. As the battered Nest students head back to the school, there's no rest for them as they have an Extra Credit assignment that exposes them to their weaknesses and forces them to overcome their toughest obstacle in order to pass their midterm assessments. ![]()

Navier gets settled in within her new roll as the queen of the Western kingdom. That means choosing new ladies-in-waiting, a difficult task, seeing as how the eligible ladies were all chosen by the previous queen and are loyal to her. Back in the Eastern Kingdom, Soveishu is still reeling from the surprise that Navier landed on him, but plans to throw a wedding to outshine Navier’s and make her attend to spite her. Navier and Heinrey navigate some beginning couple awkwardness, and Navier asks questions about who the birds are that used to visit her chambers frequently when she was in the Eastern Kingdom. ![]()
After standing up to bullies and becoming a target herself, Sori Lee decides to transfer schools to escape the harassment. Within her new desk, she discovers a helpful letter from the previous student describing everything she’ll need to know about her classmates and school, but also setting her on a treasure hunt for a series of successive letters. Along the way, Sori tentatively befriends Dongsoon and discovers the letter writer is Hoyeon, Dongsoon’s best friend who left school without a goodbye.
