The villain known as Josef/Cartaphilius brings Chise to his home and prepares her for the deal she’s now entered into: she is going to give Josef her cursed left arm. Josef is in quite the predicament. When he merged with the cursed being, Cartaphilius, he started to slowly decompose over centuries, but he can never fully die. He’s convinced that with Chise’s arm cursed from the dragon, he might finally have some relief from his torture. But first, he exchanges eyes with Chise to make sure his body won’t reject her arm, and in doing so, the two share their past memories and share their tragic backstories.

The party has gotten to the third floor, but there are a lot of undead creatures here, and not many edible ones. When Senshi hears there are golems nearby, he springs to action to incapacitate them by removing their monster core. He then inspects the crops growing along their back that he planted the last time around, and there’s a bumper crop of cabbage, carrots, and more. After the harvest, he tills and plants more things with the help of the party, and replaces their core, so the crops maybe continue to grow for his next time around the third floor. Then, some orcs demand their leftover crops, but they barter as they overheard the orcs talking about the red dragon. Laios jumps into some living pictures and eats plenty of food from the festivals there, but upon leaving the painting, he discovers he’s hungry all over again. Chilchuck gets tricked by a mimick yet again, but it leads to another delicious meal. The party is about to travel to the fourth floor, but first they have to get across a treacherous lake with deceptive kelpie.

The War is over, and Russian soldiers evict German citizens from Prague to return to their country. In the midst of this, a puppeteer asks to tell a Russian soldier a horrifying tale, and the two sit in front of his puppet stand. The puppeteer begins with Radek, a Jewish doctor who has papers hiding his true heritage. He treats patients in the hidden basement of a shop, where one tells him of a golem whose mud lies in the rafters of the synagogue. The golem is the sworn protector of the Jewish people, and he begs Radek to help bring him to life. Being a man of science, Radek believes none of this, but finds mud in the rafters and appeases the professor with an attempt. He is stunned beyond measure to find he has risen a true golem named Yossel!

Frieren, Fern, and Stark convince a depraved priest to join their adventuring party, and Frieren finally feels like her group is complete. However, Sein the Priest only agrees to go so that he can go looking for his best friend, an adventurer by the name of "Gorilla Warrior" who left the village and went missing ten years ago. Frieren also convinced Fern to test for the certification they need to continue adventuring north since these types of certifications become obsolete for Frieren so comparatively fast with her longer life span.
Izumo stands on the edge of a bridge over a high speed rail, ready to end it all, because merely touching another person brings about such unluckiness that the other person is either seriously maimed or outright killed. She thinks ending her life is the best option until she meets an undead man who constantly regenerates when he’s killed or seriously maimed. Izumo decides to call him Andy, as in Ahn-dead (undead), as she is more or less kidnapped and forced to give Andy all kinds of unluck through physical contact. At first, he’s obsessed with cracking the code about how her power works and to see if he can amass enough unluck to finally end his prolonged life. Izumo slowly starts trusting Andy a little more and opens up about how affection can also cause a lot more unluck to befall a person, so Andy’s new pursuit is to get Izumo to fall in love with him so they can have sex. He’s convinced that this final act will allow his to finally die.
Shiva’s auntie comes back for her and is horrified to find an Outsider chasing after them! Town guards load the two into the back of a wagon and shoot arrows at Teacher, which do nothing but stun him, and they manage to get away. Shiva and her aunt set back up in their old house in the eastern village of the town, but Shiva misses Teacher. Shiva doesn’t have any signs of having been touched and cursed by an Outsider, but that isn’t true for other folks in the town. She runs away from the king’s men once again and finds herself in the forest with Teacher. The two go back to their house but Shiva is so exhausted she falls asleep on the floor of the hallway, unable to make it to her room.
Nene is “invited”, or rather, kidnapped, by Natsuhiko, an upper classman, and taken to a tea party with Nanamine Sakura. She is assistant to Tsukasa-kun, who is Hanako-Kun’s “little” twin brother, and is in a similar arrangement as Nene and Hanako-Kun. Later, another school mystery shows up who can control time. The three-pronged mystery includes one supernatural with the power over the present time, one with the power over the future, and one with the power over the past. The Clock Keeper if the Future starts to wreck havoc on the students by speeding time up in their classroom or making students speed their aging until they are old people. Hanako-kun and Nene enlist the help of a classmate who has the power of one of the Clock Keepers, as they must help Nene’s best friend escape the clutches of the other Clock Keepers.

Jinwoo gets “recruited” to help talk to his sister’s friend who is an aspiring hunter. He takes her along on a raid to show her how difficult the hunter life is. The C-Rank gate morphs as the team goes in, and becomes a Red Gate - a gate that transports them to another world. Within the team is an A-Rank hunter, several B-Rank hunters, and a handful of C-Ranks. The A-Rank abandons the lower rank hunters, but Jinwoo helps them and keeps them alive while he works through the bad guys. He tries out his newest skill, which lets him raise shadow soldiers from defeated enemies. Later, he goes back to the dungeon to which he earned a key, and he grinds through several levels before discovering the recipe to make an elixir that might bring his mother out of her sleeping-sickness coma. In order to find all the ingredients, he decides to finally reclassify and stop pretending he's an E-Rank hunter.
Nasa and Tsukasa attend a summer festival, and Nasa can’t handle how cute she looks in a yukata! On recommendation from Kaname, Nasa starts reading Shōjo manga to brush up on being romantic with Tsukasa, and his efforts are not in vain. Tsukasa enjoys the uptick in attention and romantic gestures she receives from nasa. Later, Kaname inspires the two to bathe together in the same room at the bath house, but they weren’t actually alone after all, leading to a mildly awkward interaction with a stranger.
Sakura, Li, Kero-Chan, and Yue all feel it - the presence of Clow Reed. But how is that possible since he died so long ago? Sakura continues to fight a formless enemy who always uses another creature or creates a natural phenomenon that Sakuramust subdue. Each time she does, the Clow Cards she summons to help her are transformed - Reed’s magic circle on the back is changed into a distinct one Kero-Chan believes is a representation of Sakura’s own magic. These new cards are therefore more part of Sakura than Clow. But this takes a terrible toll on Sakura; she leaves battles completely exhausted and begins to run a fever, but even sickness isn't going to stop her from saving her friends and getting to the bottom of this mystery.
