He then becomes a frequent visitor to the zoo and begins investigating other fuzzy creatures. While on his excursions, he comes into contact with the Rangers, the human protectors of Planet Earth, but as he’s maintaining his work-life balance, he calls a truce with all of them and refuses to do battle on his days off.

After the Jeju Island raid, Jinwoo and Jinho are primed to start their own Hunter Guild. They’re short a few founding members, however. But, Hunter Cha surprises them both when she comes knocking and asks to join the guild. Jinwoo decides to test her, regardless of having seen her in action and knowing she’s S-ranked. After putting her against two of his shadow warriors, he’s still not convinced. Then, an A-ranked gate opens, and Jinwoo gets recruited to help another guild fill up their ranks and take down the magical beasts inside. At the same time, though, a dungeon break happens inside his sister’s school, tearing him between two critical places at once.
Nasa's students begin filming the horror movie in the abandoned mansion, but Nasa and Tsukasa are mostly there to check out the furniture. As soon as the door closes and the lights go out, the students are freaked out by the headless suit of armor and giant worms chasing them, but Tsukasa is cool as a cucumber. She grabs a sword and starts fighting back! She nearly ruins the movie except for her unbelievable swordsman skills, and her dual with the mastermind behind all of it. After their harrowing adventure, Kaname convinces Tsukasa that she has to match Nasa in showing affection, including being able to say "I love you," which Tsukasa thinks is the height of embarrassing.

Penelope is framed for attempted regicide and put on trial for the events of the hunting tournament. Derrick visits her in prison and tries to suss out how to minimize the effects of the rumors, rather than believing that Penelope is innocent. She rebukes his offer of help and decides to go it alone at the trial. After the hunting tournament concludes, Penelope visits Eckles and raises his affection meter into a new game mode where none of the meters for any love interests are visible unless she pays absurd amounts of money or prestige points! With her birthday coming up and the potential end of hard mode or her life, Penelope decides to be more strategic with asking for gifts: money or assets in light of this new ridiculous ransom on seeing affection meters.
Saeroyi Park's father just landed a new job in a new city, which means Saeroyi has to start fresh at a new school. On day one, he lands himself on the wrong side of the kid who "runs" the school, who happens to be the son of his dad's boss! But, rather than apologize for doing what he thought was right, he gets expelled, and his dad loses his job. The two decide to open a chicken restaurant and seemingly land on their feet, but it's not long before tragedy find them again, and Saeroyi finds himself in prison for attempted murder. After serving his time, he has to decide the best way to get revenge on those who have wronged him, and making a successful restaurant in in the thriving Seoul neighborhood of Itaewon is how he's going to do it. But first, he needs to make a lot of money, as Itaewon is extremely expensive to operate out of.

A botched attempt at revenge causes Abigail to confess her fondness for Blanche, but this works out for Abigail in the end as Blanche becomes more comfortable around her. With the Foundation Ball coming up, Abigail's family is worried she will be snubbed again like last year, owing to the fact that Sabrian refuses to dance with his queen. Compounding their worries is Abigail's failure to produce an heir for her new kingdom. When Abigail asks Sabrian to ensure he will dance with her this year, he confides that he lacks the confidence to dance with her because he is terrible at dancing. Abigail invites him to practice sessions with her and Blanche, hoping to help his skill level but also repair some of the relationship between Sabrian and Blanche.
Laios finds himself within an inch of his life after being attacked by a fierce suit of armor. As the party helps him recover, they are beset by succubi, and everyone is susceptible except Izutsumi. She nurses them back to health using cooking methods she thinks Senshi would follow if he were able. Laios has an illuminating dream while knocked out from being drained by the succubi, except he only remembers, “don’t trust the Canaries.” Elsewhere in the dungeon, Kabru and Captain Mithrun of the Canaries have fallen to the 6th floor after their run in with the Lunatic Magician, and to Kabru’s ultimate disgust, they must resort to eating monsters in order to survive, just like Laios. Mithrun tells Kabru about his past and why he’s very powerful but helpless at the same time, and why the dungeon seems to be providing for their every need.
