Anya is still on the mission to get Stella Stars, and the upcoming midterms will offer her many opportunities to win them if she can get top marks on her tests. But, her power to read minds will be weakest during midterms. She’ll actually have to study! “Uncle” Yuri comes over to help her study, but quickly gives up in frustration. Yor is meanwhile trying to be a better wife and takes some cooking lessons to help make edible food that won’t make her family sick. Later, Anya’s school assigns a report for students to explore a profession they might want to pursue, and Anya chooses to shadow Loid at his cover job as a hospital psychiatrist. Then, NIghtfall, another spy from The Agency, believes she would make a better wife to Twilight in real life and his assignment, and is determined to find Yor's weaknesses and exploit them.
While you might think this series is really about Twilight from the publisher descriptions, Anya is definitely the main star of this volume. We follow her all around school and around the hospital as she interviews Loid (while reading his mind for the spy tips and sometimes getting them confused with his psychiatry duties). Bond, the dog, doesn't feature much in this volume, leading me to believe we have reached our threshold of introducing characters with special powers, so hopefully Nightfall isn't a reoccurring character that will crowd the main players out of their time in the spotlight.
