Delve into the formation of the first all American Indian Rock Band: Redbone, as told from Pat Vegas’ perspective. Before they were a full band, Lolly and Pat Vegas played clubs in LA and jammed with some of the greats - Jimmy Hendrix before he was Jimi, Sonny and Cher, and more. They start to collect other talented musicians who were also passing as Hispanic Americans, and formed a band that then went on to proudly use elements of Native American instruments and musicality in their songs and display their Native American heritage. While they weren't always a commercial success, and their ancestry brought them discrimination and missed gigs, the members of Redbone felt it was necessary to continue their musical careers as noble Native Americans who would not bend to the pressure of their record label or the music industry.

We finally get some much-needed reveal as to why the world is the way it is with farms such as Grace Field House, and, of course, it makes things look bleak for our heroes. The band is miraculously saved from pursuers and deadly demons by a duo of altruistic demons who don’t eat humans for religious reasons. The two teach the kids how to cook and teach Emma how to hunt with a bow and arrow. We learn the reason behind the flower that we see sticking out of dead things throughout the series, and it's actually a nice symbol rather than something perverse. In the end, the kids finally make it to the coordinates they've been moving towards, but what they find is not what they expected at all. ![]()
The Impure king is almost to his full form, which means his body has begun to form a city with spores attacking anyone or thing who sets foot on the ground. Rin and Bon hitch a ride on an enlarged Kuro, who whisks them towards the growing poisonous mega-spore. When the mega-spore explodes, poisonous gas will be released and float down the mountain to the unsuspecting city of Kyoto below. Bon takes his new power from Karura and creates a fire barrier to lock in the Impure King’s poisonous gas. Yukio tries to fight off Todo, who has absorbed the Phoenix abilities of Karura, which he stole from Bon’s father. The Shima brothers also aid Yukio in his battle. Mephisto is being annoying and lounging on a couch in the sky just watching the action and providing a bit of color commentary.

This graphic novel is a collection of Valentine's Day and Halloween stories featuring our favorite Stage Crew. Beckett hates Valentine’s Day and emotions in general, and usually spends Valentine’s Day watching scary movies. But everything turns out great when his crush joins him for some slasher thrillers. In the Halloween stories, Sasha hates Halloween for showing him clowns aren’t real, but he solves the mystery of a scary giant bug that comes out in the theater on Halloween every year. |
