Fujinaga’s lifelong dream has been to become an actor on the screen — whether TV or film — but feedback at auditions and from his theater troupe is much the same: his overacting is distracting and scene-stealing. Then he meets Keito, a freshman who is Deaf and utilizes Japanese Sign Language, hearing aids, and lip reading in order to communicate with hearing people. Fujinaga begins learning signs from Keito and eventually expressing language in unique ways, drawing on his acting ability and connecting with Keito.

Our villainess is an isekai-ed 30-something who finds herself in the world of her favorite otome game, though she’s been reincarnated as Luciana, the villainess. The version she’s always played was the free version, and this is the full paid for version, starting at least six months before the game actually begins. Knowing that her character will meet a terrible end, she creates a plan to live in the shadows and not attract the attention of the love interests, thereby slipping under the radar when the heroine shows up later. But details come to light and she can’t sit idly by while some folks potentially meet horrible deaths! And getting involved also leads to a revelation regarding her magic, which, to her knowledge, has been lackluster even in the game! Mimi heads back to Rubini after staying with her family, but something doesn’t sit well with her about the kidnapped village lady. She decides to detour and figure out if the nobleman is holding the young girl hostage since she realizes she can investigate sooner than the royal knights can. She takes some villagers along to the noble’s estate and breaks in while all the men cause a distraction at the gate. Using her family’s secret techniques, Mimi sneaks around the house, employing her self-defense hair ornament, aka the Knuckle-Duster, only when absolutely necessary.

One day, urban explorer and legends enthusiast Sorawo discovers a mysterious door that leads her to a world where the unexplained can become reality. There, she meets Toriko, a beautiful and deadly you woman searching for her best friend who got lost in this Otherside. The two agree to explore together as there are dangerous and paranormal monsters that defy logic and take over one's senses. Toriko reveals she explores the Otherside while armed with a gun, which startles Sorawo at first, but starts to make more sense the more they encounter deadly and unexplainable phenomenon.
Otonari has a perfect couple that he has decided to devote his time to. He "ships" them and has become more than a little obsessed with their every happiness, tracking their interactions, following their social media accounts, and watching their every move. This obsessive "otaku" sized fanboy crush wouldn't be so bad if they weren't both students at his school! This OTP, or one-true-pairing, is the overly gorgeous, perfect couple who are the prince and princess of his school. But Otonari isn't such a bad looking guy himself, and there's another Kakoi/Kawai stan to share in his joy who actually thinks the "best boy" is none other than Otonari himself -- but she'll never tell him that! Thus, the love connection is born from chains of stans pining after each other, one right after another.
Three aspiring agents of Death come together (eventually) at school and learn to be better collectors of souls. For two characters, Maka and Black Star, they are on a mission to create an ultimate weapon for Death, and to do so, they need to collect 99 souls of humans and one witch, which they feed to their weapons. Their weapons also can become anthropomorphic entities with strong personalities that must match their weapon-masters soul energy. Otherwise, wielding them is nearly impossible. Our third character is none other than Death’s son — Death the Kid — a reaper with a powerful pair of guns as his weapons.

Lord Kudo and Miyo have a fateful meeting at the Usuba house, the home of Miyo’s maternal family, where her grandfather and cousin (of sorts) explain that Miyo does, in fact, have a gift, and this is what has been causing her to have nightmares and deteriorating health. Arata challenges Lord Kudo for the right to protect Miyo and have her live in the Usuba mansion where she will learn to harness her power, and Arata’s Usuba powers are meant to control other gift-bearers like Kudo, regardless of how strong they are. In another part of the kingdom, someone has unleashed many grotesqueries, leaving Kudo and his unit to pick up the pieces.
Dera arrives to “rescue” Yuru from the clutches of the Kagemori clan, but after the fierce battle and the long night, they share a tense breakfast, a truce, and lots of information. Yuru still has many questions about what all of this means for himself, his sister, and his future. The Kagemori clan offers him a place to stay with Asa, but ultimately Yuru refuses and takes up the quest to find his missing parents with Dera. He also has a lingering mission to figure out the mysteries of his ten years in the Higashi village that now seem like a farce.
