Doctor Rei's other patient, Miss Alde, finally arrives, but she isn’t like Mira suspected. Alde wants nothing to do with Mira and believes that no one can truly understand her affliction. Alde suffers from shadow sickness, which makes her unable to be outside in the sunshine, nor have anything touch her that has had the sun shine on it. Mira enlists the help of Mr. Capri to try to break down the walls Alde has built around herself. After Alde and Mira’s encounter, Miss Stella takes Mira on an adventure to a beautiful night forest full of wonderful starry rivers, magical creatures, and illuminated plantlife.
