Illustrated by Miya Tashiro
Mio, Yuri, July, and Prince Daibu finish up their business in Totodoto with the unhumans and how they were previously treated by the royal family. Mio decides they need to get to Aquatia quickly because her engagement announcement to Prince Chaka is only three months away. Yuri leads them through another adjoining kingdom that is mostly closed off from other kingdoms because it will be faster, but the rest of the party fears it will be more dangerous. Once in Aquatia, Mio learns more about Yuri’s past and he reveals some of the reason why he cannot return her feelings of affection.

Ichi gets to go on more assignments to deal with unruly majiks, starting with a shark majik that freezes villagers. The trial to capture this majik includes making her look fabulous and fashionable. Ichi's solution is inventive and completely outside the box. Later, at a meeting of witches, the council decides whether it’s time to announce Ichi to the world or not. A master witch, Togeice, believes Ichi is not skilled and refined yet, and challenges Ichi to a contest in order to settle the question. The contest includes pitting their respective skills against one another and seeing which method of capture majiks is the best.
The phantom busters are given a task from the Student Body president in order to save their club room, and in the process, Mogari also reveals he has a fairly impossible task from his family to exorcist a large number of demons in a year or lose his privilege of going to school. The president secretly is a huge fan of the paranormal, but his steely exterior must be maintained, especially around his subordinates. Korekishi has his own problems — his mother threatens to have him transferred to another school if he doesn’t quit the phantom busters, and a former classmate also pressures him to quit the club to realize his full leadership potential elsewhere.

Precocious maid Hana is constantly late to meals, and her hero attitude often gets her into much bigger situations. Maids in this world aren’t just folks who clean and cook — they also shred around town. A trip to the market lands her and her board in the river as she attempts a sick jump across it. Catching a fish-thieving kitten spirals into saving a baby in a pram and chasing both throughout a crowded shopping and outdoor dining area. Hana still has a lot to learn about being a top maid and a top skater!
