After successfully getting humanity passed the millennium, Buddha and Jesus decide that it's time for a vacation. They rent a flat in Tokyo and experience some of the local tourist attractions. Buddha is consistently worried about making rent while Jesus thinks spending money is the pinnacle of relaxation.  They go to theme parks and ride rides together.  They win a golden statue of Buddha in a local carnival game. They participate in local Shinto festivals and hope not to upset the sitting spirit by carrying its shrine. They sample lots of food at street vendors, festivals, and anywhere they can. In all of their adventures, they try to blend in with the locals, despite Buddha's elongated ear lobes and Jesus' crown of thorns.

Nasa wants to move into a bigger apartment so that he and Tsukasa can sleep in one large bed instead of their current arrangement - him in the bed and she on the floor next to him.  In order to get a bigger apartment, they'll need a guarantor - which means Nasa is going to have to tell his parents he got married, something he's neglected to do yet.  Nasa's parents insist on meeting his wife before they do anything, so the couple must travel from Tokyo to Nara.  They stop over in Kyoto to do some sightseeing.  Along the way, the couple realizes that Chitose, Tsukasa's "sister" is following them and trying to sabotage and/or understand why they got married in the first place.  Chitose steals Nasa and demands he take her around Kyoto as if they were dating in order for her to see why Tsukasa fell in love with him.

Tatsu, The Immortal Dragon is back at his antics.  He's brandishing a bottle of bug spray against The Black Bullet - a cockroach - who has been sent by an unknown enemy group.  Later, he takes a gig serving food in a restaurant to some really jumpy gentlemen who are probably still in the business.  Bargain hunting at the supermarket is made even more entertaining when a down-and-out mob boss' wife takes a job as a checker and double charges Tatsu for an item.  Tatsu tries to help his wife Miku relax after several long days at work, and he of course takes it to the Nth degree.  A touching reunion with his former boss allows The Immortal Dragon to show his domestic side to the fearsome former head of the Yakuza Crime family.

Volume two has even more adventures in the life of a yakuza hit man trying to carry out his duties as a househusband. In this volume, we see The Immortal Dragon attend fitness classes and punish himself fiercely for accidentally entering the women’s locker room. He also puts a serious hit on laundry stains.  The cops following him into a birthday party have to eat some serious crow (and cake) when they find out the herbs he's been growing and distributing really are basil and oregano, not street oregano.  Also presented is another installment in the adventures of Gin the cat, which really could be another hilarious and entertaining series on its own.

Fun, short chapters show how a former Yakuza hit man adjusts to life as a Househusband and accomplishes normal life tasks, but old habits die hard.  Hunting for bargains becomes a life or death situation.  A broken toy's "body" needs to be buried 6 feet down to destroy the evidence.  But the Immortal Dragon can't fully leave the Yakuza.  It isn't long before current gang members recognize him, but rather than sucking him back into the life, others always get dragged along on househusband duties.

Taichi has to deal with the immense guilt from Toma's broken leg.  If Taichi hadn't tried to save the kitten from being run over by a car, Toma wouldn't have tried to say Taichi, and he wouldn't have an injury that completely ended his baseball season, just when the team on the cusp of qualifying for the summer tournament.  Futaba tries to console Taichi and discovers just how much she cares for him.  Taichi and Toma lash out at each other for the injury - Taichi claims responsibility for ruining Toma's dreams, but ultimately, the argument ends with Toma expressing that Taichi's life is more important than his dreams of becoming a professional athlete.  Taichi begins to understand some of the feelings Toma has been unable to express before, and he doesn't quite know what to do about it all.
