This means she must revisit her destroyed childhood home in Northern Japan. As she begins her journey, she is waylaid by her aunt and Souta’s schoolmate, both of whom force their way into her journey. fool night vols 2-3 by Kasumi yasuda

Kamiya's transfloration into a plant begins sooner than he anticipated and grants him the unique, unsettling ability to "hear" the thoughts of other transformed individuals. This overwhelming influx of voices forces him to confront his own mortality and the limited time he has left with his humanity.  A transformed individual, a spiriflor, begins moving and killing, which is a presumed impossibility. When a surviving victim, possibly the only witness to the killer's identity, is in danger of dying, authorities force the transfloration process. There is no discussion with the family. There is no consent. Kamiya may be the only one capable of finding and stopping this new serial killer.

Volume three delivers the twisted backstory to this world. People are being taxed to breathe, and the taxes are increasing. Many spend 1/3 of their income to breathe. Basic living is harder, and expenses are increasing. "Unwanted" children are paraded in front of the rich to be selected for transflorication to later be turned into furniture.

Cover of Witch Hat Atelier volume 12. Master Qifrey is flying through the sky with the leech monster's tentacles seen behind him.
On the other side of the castle, away from Silver Eve, a few witches plot in a jail cell. A wizened old man draws many glyphs on a young man and promises that he will turn into an ooze and be able to escape this cell. What he fails to tell him is that there is a horrifying leech guarding the outside of the castle walls, and the man fuses with the leech to create a large monster that invades the castle town during the festivities. The Knights are deployed but have a difficult time fighting the many arms of the monster, and most witches cannot figure out what type of monster they’re fighting. As the giant leech feeds on blood, it grows stronger and covers more of the city, seeking out even more victims.

My Happy Marriage volume 5. Mio is in a priestess kimono with a veil over her head. She has Lord Kudo in her lap and he is unconscious.
Illustrated by Rito Kohsaka

Lord Kudo and Miyo have a fateful meeting at the Usuba house, the home of Miyo’s maternal family, where her grandfather and cousin (of sorts) explain that Miyo does, in fact, have a gift, and this is what has been causing her to have nightmares and deteriorating health. Arata challenges Lord Kudo for the right to protect Miyo and have her live in the Usuba mansion where she will learn to harness her power, and Arata’s Usuba powers are meant to control other gift-bearers like Kudo, regardless of how strong they are. In another part of the kingdom, someone has unleashed many grotesqueries, leaving Kudo and his unit to pick up the pieces.

Adapted by SUOL

Penelope is inches away from getting Eckles to 100% affection and completing her plan to escape, and it can't come fast enough. She is days away from her coming-of-age ceremony when the true daughter, Ivonne, is supposed to return. After the events on the island of Soleil that entangled Penelope and Callisto and caused her to embrace powerful magical abilities, Penelope reluctantly accepts an invitation to the crown prince's birthday celebration and a rumor-filled dance that sparks outrage from her family. Callisto extends an invitation to formally court Penelope, throwing a wrench in all of her carefully laid plans. Could Callisto's red and locked affection meter have a different meaning than Eckles' grey yet nearly full? As the fateful date approaches, Penelope suffers what seems to be the ultimate betrayal as the game's events are changed and her plans are put into jeopardy!

A Visit to Moscow by Anna Olswanger

Cover of A Visit to Moscow.
The year is 1965, and it is a dangerous time for Jews in the Soviet Union. Nevertheless, Rabbi Rafael Grossman travels to the area to investigate reports of Jewish persecution for himself. Despite being welcomed as a guest by the Soviet government with the caveat that he maintains a strict schedule, the rabbi slips away to embark on a secret journey. Armed but nothing with an address and a partial idea of what he is walking into, he’s unaware that what he is about to encounter will irrevocably alter the way he interacts with humanity. Inspired by true events, this Eisner-nominated graphic novel captures a snippet of Jewish perseverance during an overlooked era when a different type of Holocaust, a spiritual Holocaust, was happening in the USSR.
