Black Panther (2016), Vol 2: A Nation Under our Feet part 2, illustrated by Chris Sprouse, Don McGregor, Rich Buckler, Brian Stelfreeze
T’Challa enlists the help of some other marvel super heroes to confront his enemies. He’s trying to keep the rebellion down on too many fronts, and the anarchists, Tetu and Zenzi, are starting to gather more followers to them. The rogue Dora Milaje have gathered the rest of their sisters-in-arms to also usurp the king, but they haven’t figured out who would replace T'Challa yet. Meanwhile, Shuri, still in her coma, is working through stories inside the Djalia, the plane of Wakandan memory, with her “mother,” a culmination of the queens of Wakanda. Shuri doesn’t quite know the meaning of the stories she’s learning, but they will probably make sense to what’s happening in Wakanda without her.

Doctor Strange (2015)
In this run of Doctor Strange, Jason Aaron explores the cost on the Sorcerer Supreme to perform the magic he does to keep the world together. He continuously puts off paying the "toll" for the magic he uses, which manifests into a being kept in a basement room, "affectionately" named Mr. Misery because of the amount of pain he wants to inflict upon Doctor Strange. Meanwhile, a society called the Empirikul, who prioritize science and are determined to exterminate magic, sets its sights on Earth and to destroying all objects imbued with magic, as well as disrupting the "lead lines" of magic that flow through the Earth's crust. As Doctor Strange powers dwindle, his enemies rise up to take over New York City, and Strange must gather the last bits of magical items, and ally with some of NYC's finest heroes, to stop his worst foes from winning. |
