Penelope is framed for attempted regicide and put on trial for the events of the hunting tournament. Derrick visits her in prison and tries to suss out how to minimize the effects of the rumors, rather than believing that Penelope is innocent. She rebukes his offer of help and decides to go it alone at the trial. After the hunting tournament concludes, Penelope visits Eckles and raises his affection meter into a new game mode where none of the meters for any love interests are visible unless she pays absurd amounts of money or prestige points! With her birthday coming up and the potential end of hard mode or her life, Penelope decides to be more strategic with asking for gifts: money or assets in light of this new ridiculous ransom on seeing affection meters.

Saeroyi Park's father just landed a new job in a new city, which means Saeroyi has to start fresh at a new school. On day one, he lands himself on the wrong side of the kid who "runs" the school, who happens to be the son of his dad's boss! But, rather than apologize for doing what he thought was right, he gets expelled, and his dad loses his job. The two decide to open a chicken restaurant and seemingly land on their feet, but it's not long before tragedy find them again, and Saeroyi finds himself in prison for attempted murder. After serving his time, he has to decide the best way to get revenge on those who have wronged him, and making a successful restaurant in in the thriving Seoul neighborhood of Itaewon is how he's going to do it. But first, he needs to make a lot of money, as Itaewon is extremely expensive to operate out of.

A botched attempt at revenge causes Abigail to confess her fondness for Blanche, but this works out for Abigail in the end as Blanche becomes more comfortable around her. With the Foundation Ball coming up, Abigail's family is worried she will be snubbed again like last year, owing to the fact that Sabrian refuses to dance with his queen. Compounding their worries is Abigail's failure to produce an heir for her new kingdom. When Abigail asks Sabrian to ensure he will dance with her this year, he confides that he lacks the confidence to dance with her because he is terrible at dancing. Abigail invites him to practice sessions with her and Blanche, hoping to help his skill level but also repair some of the relationship between Sabrian and Blanche.

Aria continues her machinations to ruin her sister Mielle’s life by trying to undermine the relationship between Mielle and her future betrothed, Oscar. Instead, Aria finds out many of her plans are backfiring. She discovers the business tips she gave to her stepfather in volume one were attributed to Mielle, so the nobility believe Mielle to be a budding economic genius. Mielle also sends maids to “help” Aria, who are actually spying on her, so Aria uses the hourglass to pick out one of Mielle’s maids who is young and potentially easy to win over. At a spring festival, Aria runs into Lord Asher again and tried to steer clear of him, but unexpected explosions have them running for safety together.

The big hunting tournament is here, and Penelope is invited to a tea party beforehand to celebrate. She quickly realizes that she is there to be an object of curiosity with her hunting outfit and crossbow after the events of last year where she threatened many nobles. Penelope leans into it again and warns a lady once again at crossbow point that she would be happy to amuse the crowd with a display of violence, albeit non-lethal. After her antics, she goes to the small game hunting ground and tries to score a rabbit, but finds herself lost on the large game ground and face to face with a bear. None other than the crown prince steps in to save her, but the two are beset by a crowd of assassins and must work together to evade them. Their escape leaves them stranded in the forest overnight, long enough for evil rumors to begin spreading about Penelope.

First, she has to repair some of the relationships with the maids that former Abigail has terrorized, Blanche, who is deathly afraid of her wicked stepmother, and her husband Sabrian, who doesn’t trust her at all.

Jinwoo and his shadow soldiers engage with hordes of ants on the surface and draws the attention of the ant king after it takes down several hunters. And, because one team travels with a camera crew, much of Jinwoo’s battle was televised for most of Korea to see. The footage also caught the attention of the Americans, who are now heavily trying to recruit Jinwoo.

After the escape from last volume. Nest professors question Junhyeong about Breeder's operation, and find out all about the organization known as Pet Shop. One of the secret base locations is on a remote island called Black Rock, so the professors decide to hold a tournament among the students to determine who will go on this away mission. Once the team is decided, the students and a professor travel to Black Rock as undercover tourists to see if they can establish the location of the base.

One day, he finds himself pulled into a supernatural struggle where evil spirits have escaped the afterlife, and benevolent spirits partner with humans to recover them and bring them back to the afterlife. If he agrees, he'll have supernatural strength and speed, and his foot will be healed, and he will have a chance to talk with the spirits of his parents, who were killed in the car accident that left him disabled.

But this hidden stash is too good to be true, and a carnivorous scorpion is waiting for them, hoping to devour them and absorb their power. After learning the origin of Huijin’s insect powers, the quest leads Suchan to an orphanage where a powerful adversary is targeting Dohwa and other children. There, they learn how Dohwa, the scorpion, their new bad guy, and Jungle Juice, all have connections that go back to childhood. |
