Instead, Tanjiro gets permission to travel to the village of the sword smiths, which is in a secret location. Once there, he finds the Love Hashira, Mitsubishi Kanroji, who is also waiting for her sword. The village happens to have healing hot springs, which helps with Tanjiro’s slow recovery after his taxing fight with Gyutaro and Daki. Since a tragic traffic accident took both her parents at a young age, Alice has lived with her aunt and uncle and their many children. She aspires to go to high school, but her grumpy uncle has made it very clear that he has neither the patience for her, nor the funds to keep up with her dreams. After seeing an ad in a paper for new maikos in her home city of Kyoto, Alice jumps at the chance to return and possibly escape her family, find a new job, and potentially reconnect with a childhood friend. But, the Kyoto she finds upon arrival is now what she expects. Everything is slightly off - streets and shrines aren’t where she expects; no one seems to pay for anything with money; and, there are anthropomorphized animals talking to her. She then finds out that her reasons for becoming a maiko are not pure enough. Alice must find a profession that will fulfill her life’s purpose, or she’ll risk being expelled from this Kyoto before being reunited with her friend, or worse, suffer even more dire consequences. ![]()

Will is a No-Talent student attending Regarden Magical Academy and hoping one day to become part of the Magia Vander. He can’t cast a single spell, but he isn’t talent-less - rather, he is exceptionally skilled at the sword, and he has gotten as far as he has by beating monsters in the dungeon below the school, and by studying relentlessly so that he can pass all of his written exams. Despite his skills, most of Will’s classmates and professors refuse to accept a No-talent among their ranks, and they test him and bully him frequently. One such occasion comes within the dungeons as Will’s classmate, Sion, tries to eliminate a dangerous beast before Will and deprive him of the prize credits. In another turn, a professor challenges will to land a single offensive strike. Will constantly must prove that he is worthy of his place at Regarden and achieve his dreams at his friend's side in the highest place of their magical society. |
