Yuru and his daemon pair have confronted the Kagemori clan in the hopes of getting some answers about the attack on his village and what’s going on with his twin sister, Asa. After a fight that more or less ends in a stalemate, Yuru agrees to come back to the Kagemori compound even though it might be a trap. No sooner do they arrive than strange daemons begin to attack everyone and attempt to capture both Yuru and Asa! But these daemons don't belong to the Kagemori clan, so Yuru and the Kagemoris team up to try to protect everyone from these interfering forces.

Sana is out for the count down inside the basements of an abandoned building, leaving Rudo, Gris, and another cleaner to try to get back to the surface. But a tough enemy descends on them and battles with Rudo, one with deadly poisons on his sharpened claws. In the ensuing fight, Rudo discovers something important and powerful about his power that helps him defend himself and his teammates, but he has to hold out long enough to either beat his enemy or be rescued, and time is precious since one of his comrades is in need of medical attention! 
High schooler Amane lives alone in a small apartment and clearly has no life skills - he eats convenience store food or take out, rarely cleans his apartment, and seems perfectly fine mixing his clean and dirty laundry around his home. He also happens to live next door to Shiina, the class “Angel” who is perfect — she’s beautiful, poised, and put together. The two are in completely different leagues, and Amane wouldn’t dare to approach her even if they are neighbors. When he sees her sitting on a swing in the rain one day, he can’t help but intervene, causing an odd-couple friendship that brings Shiina into his messy life in the form of dinner leftovers, apartment cleaning, and inspiration to get his act together.

Navier does an interview with a local journalist, and she includes a tidbit about overhearing part of Soveishu’s plan to divorce her. Upon reading the ensuing article, Soveishu realizes his mistake and sends a letter to Navier explaining his entire plan, but Navier is unimpressed and declines to come back or participate any further in his schemes. Soveishu decides to have his wedding to Rashta before Navier's in the Western Kingdom to force Heinrey and Navier to attend, but all Navier sees are Rashta’s missteps in maintaining the empire despite all of the advice she had left and instructions on how to continue to keep things running smoothly.

Suzume and Daijin connect from across the bar where Suzume is temporarily staying in Kobe, and Daijin playfully leads Suzume out to the next breach: a worm escaping from an abandoned amusement park high in the hills above the city. Souta and Suzume give chase, hoping to catch the keystone but also stop the worm from damaging the region. Through the open gate, Suzume glimpses a place Souta explains is the Ever After, a parallel to their world and a space where souls go to when they’ve passed on. Daijin is next on his way to Tokyo, which leads the two back to Souta’s apartment and old journals from generations of Closers that may give clues as to what the menacing cat could be up to. 
Fuyutsuki is an office worker whose coworker, Himuro, is descendant from a frost spirit, so every day is a new adventure. Himuro has a tendency to freeze over if he gets nervous, and his emotions can impact the temperature and weather conditions inside the office as well. For her part, Fuyutsuki does her best to help Himuro experience life to the fullest even when his chilly nature may get in the way. Fuyutsuki’s thoughtful nature causes Himuro to catch feelings for his coworker, but Fuyutsuki isn’t sure how to feel about her supernatural companion.
