Yukiko and the detective revisit the site of her accident and she begins to have slivers of her memory return, but nothing supremely helpful to solving the case. She tries to find people who can help her piece together what she was like before the accident and even retraces her steps throughout the company building in the hopes of jogging her memory further. Then, the packaging arrives for her new chips, and her insistence that the design be flashier runs her into trouble with the marketing firm contracted for the work.

Yumeko is relieved to finally find her missing phone, which was confiscated unknowingly as part of the police investigation. She then goes on a trip with her boss to Hokkaido to secure more potatoes for her new potato chip project. Later, the Vice President gives her his contact information to begin communicating via text because he won’t be able to meet her in the park as much. One of Yumeko’s co-workers confesses he has a crush on a coworker from another department, but he lacks confidence due to his excessively curly hair. Yumeko helps him to make the first move and to have confidence in himself.
After a mysterious accident wiped all of her memories, Yumeko awakens as an entirely new person with a fresh look on life and with a striking confidence and energy. She begins going to work even though she doesn’t remember anything about her role in the company. Along the way, she stumbles upon a sickly man in the park who bears a resemblance to someone occupying a large chunk of a secret photo album on her phone! Once at work, she contributes ideas and pitches in a sales meeting and manages to get a project approved despite her memory lapse. A semi-jealous but helpful coworker helps her prepare for her sales pitch meeting in front of upper management, what could arguably be the most important meeting of her career.

Four women close to thirty live together, and they're all in very different places in their lives. Shuu works hard at her day job and is mostly waiting for love to find her spontaneously, but she’s feeling the pressure to marry as those around her are finding relationships. Mii is a guitarist and has been seeing the drummer in her band, but he drops a bombshell on her that makes her question where their relationship is and where it’s headed. Eika is solidly a career woman who continuously takes on big projects, and she doesn’t let anyone doubt her ability to handle the workload. Shio used to work at a large, successful corporation, but the long hours and stress were not what she was looking for in life.
Suzume and the other keepers get the dinos ready for winter by preparing special bedding and changing the enclosures to be heated. Then, a velociraptor escapes from some smugglers and is on the loose in a populated area. Suzume and Kaidou are called upon to help capture the poor creature. They head into the city to search for clues, and Suzume uses much of what she’s learned as a new keeper, including its wintering habits, to help track the velociraptor.
Suzume starts a rotation into other departments, starting with the department overseeing the stegosaurus. She learns more about Igarashi, a seemingly cheery keeper who likewise wants people to learn information about the dinos while learning their stories. Igarashi had a previous job at another establishment, Blue World, where the prime focus was on entertainment, rather than education, and he often got in trouble for leaving his keeper side of the job to interact with park guests and give them educational information.
On the way to work one morning, Suzume finds Kaidou stopped to pay his respects at a shrine for all the deceased dinosaurs, and he tells her the details of the incident fifteen years ago that led to a dinosaur attack and, ultimately, her father’s death. Later, Suzume is entrusted to look after one of the Troodon babies, a runt who was rejected by the flock. Then, she gets to plan a birthday celebration for the park’s aging Tyrannosaurus rex and must consider the dino's special dietary needs when constructing her a birthday cake made of meat. Suzume hopes posting about the celebration on social media, as well as a few other dino-happenings, will get more visitors to visit the park.
