Letitia and Erden have been separated for seven years while Erden was on an epic quest to find The Book of Secrets for her, leaving Letitia to become the Second Master of Halstead Castle. As time runs out on their protective relic that has kept Halstead Castle safe for seven years, an army of demons prepares to descend on the castle. Letitia must use all of her book learning she has gained these years to outsmart them and hold out for Erden’s triumphant return. Once they are reunited, they must now learn how to behave as a married couple even as Erden wants to set Letitia free from his horrid appearance and the curse of being his wife. Letitia, for her part, continues to try to prove her worthy to the Halstead house and convince Erden to stay married to her.

The next consort outing is a casual garden tea party. Felia dresses for the mood and the other consorts in their fancy ball gowns make fun of her until the king arrives and he’s similarly dressed casually. Felia brings the same distinct tea leaves she served the king during their first meeting, so he easily discerns her brew in order to reward her with some private time together. After the tea party, jealous consorts retaliate by attacking Felia's residence, but Felia gets help from another consort who has chosen to become Felia's ally. King Macron steals away at any opportunity he gets so that he doesn’t have to wait until the next 31st in a month comes around to see Felia again.

Ichi gets to go on more assignments to deal with unruly majiks, starting with a shark majik that freezes villagers. The trial to capture this majik includes making her look fabulous and fashionable. Ichi's solution is inventive and completely outside the box. Later, at a meeting of witches, the council decides whether it’s time to announce Ichi to the world or not. A master witch, Togeice, believes Ichi is not skilled and refined yet, and challenges Ichi to a contest in order to settle the question. The contest includes pitting their respective skills against one another and seeing which method of capture majiks is the best.
The phantom busters are given a task from the Student Body president in order to save their club room, and in the process, Mogari also reveals he has a fairly impossible task from his family to exorcist a large number of demons in a year or lose his privilege of going to school. The president secretly is a huge fan of the paranormal, but his steely exterior must be maintained, especially around his subordinates. Korekishi has his own problems — his mother threatens to have him transferred to another school if he doesn’t quit the phantom busters, and a former classmate also pressures him to quit the club to realize his full leadership potential elsewhere.

She is sold to a noble family as a slave, something Beatrice knows all to well from her early life. The invading force, led by the intimidating Duke Alessandro, as well as several knights, intimidate Beatrice and are all people she hopes to never see again once she fades into the background in her new life. Beatrice knows how to lay low; as soon as they cross the border into the Empire, she melts into old slave persona. She cuts off her gorgeous flowing locks, ditches her long, billowy skirts, and becomes the unassuming Chloe, ever amenable and focused solely on tidying and serving.

Reito dismisses Akemi as his proper wife in the Byakurenji household because he continues to have feelings for Nanao and delusions that he can win her away from Yako Benitsubaki. The jealousy and outrage drives Akemi insane, and she decides to take matters into her own hands. She travels to the Benitsubaki house in order to convince Yako that he doesn't need Nano. Meanwhile, Reito also tries to convince Nanao that he needs her and to come back to the Byakurenji house to take her place as his wife.
