Precocious maid Hana is constantly late to meals, and her hero attitude often gets her into much bigger situations. Maids in this world aren’t just folks who clean and cook — they also shred around town. A trip to the market lands her and her board in the river as she attempts a sick jump across it. Catching a fish-thieving kitten spirals into saving a baby in a pram and chasing both throughout a crowded shopping and outdoor dining area. Hana still has a lot to learn about being a top maid and a top skater!

Maxi begins studying with Ruth and helping him with creating magical devices for protecting Anatol, as she has magical affinity and is literate. She continues to fear that someone will discover that she is a fraud of a noblewoman, incapable of leading people or being the head of a household.

Tabitha has dreamed about work for the magical theme park of Sommerland since she was a little girl, and the summer internship is where she is finally going to make it all reality. At first, Tabi is excited to be assigned at any role in the park just as long as she can contribute to the magic of a family’s stay, but going behind-the-scenes at her favorite place isn’t as wonderful as she had hoped. Her co-workers complain about guests and working conditions; her assignment isn’t exactly what she had hoped for, and the actors playing royalty, the role Tabi aspires to, aren’t as nice out of character. Tabi does manage to find one person, James, who hasn’t let others tarnish his excitement for working at the park, and the two do their best to enjoy the summer.

Bokutake sees Tenroku’s childhood — he was the eldest son of a large family of a silkworm farmer. Their village was struck by a massive famine, and many villagers succumbed to a terrible hunger. Elders resorted to horrifying methods in order to feed everyone. Yet, Tenroku managed to survive again and again. Konosuke must now hone his gift and use it against Tenroku if he has any hope of breaking the curse and saving Tsuki from the hex that threatens to take her life on this next throw of the die.
